English for Hotels and Tourism

English for Hotels and Tourism will help you acquire and practise the language skills needed to work in customer service. It includes real life, everyday situations where, as hotel and restaurant employees, you learn to respond appropriately to the needs and requests of the public.

For each topic you will watch a video where customer service staff interact with the public. Topics include taking telephone reservations, check-ins, describing hotel facilities, restaurant language, room service, dealing with complaints and giving directions. Each video scenario is accompanied by a range of activities including comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar. You will also practise everyday expressions and receive information to increase your knowledge and skills in dealing with Western guests.
